Jackson County is considering a temporary moratorium on new development applications for large-scale data centers and large load customer facilities. This proposed ordinance aims to pause the acceptance, review, and approval of permits for these types of facilities for up to one year. The county is undertaking this review to develop specific regulations addressing infrastructure needs, land use compatibility, and environmental impacts.
