The Lake County Water Authority is undertaking a significant lake treatment project on Lake Yale, which spans over 4,000 acres. This project involves applying alum to address phosphorus levels that have contributed to algal blooms and water quality issues. The treatment is planned in four applications, with the first phase completed in February and March 2026.
