The City of Leesburg is considering an expansion of the County Road 33 Community Development District (CR 33 CDD). This expansion would add approximately 702 acres to the existing 441-acre district, bringing the total to over 1,143 acres. The affected area is generally located south of the Florida Turnpike and east and west of County Road 33. The expansion includes the Terra Vista subdivision and Phases 3, 4, and 5 of the Banning Ranch subdivision, in addition to the existing Preservation Place and Banning Ranch Phases 1 and 2. This item is currently under review, with staff recommending approval.
