The Marion County Planning & Zoning Commission met to review several development proposals. Local business opportunities are planned for a mixed-use development near SE 114th Avenue and SE Division Street, and a 120-unit residential project near NW 100th Street and NW 47th Avenue. Other potential work includes a 120-unit housing project near SE 145th Ave and SE Division St, a special use permit for a 1.64-acre parcel for an accessory structure, and a special use permit for covered outdoor storage of RVs, boats, and trailers at 7655 E. Highway 25. A human food grade de-packing facility is approved at 8510 and 8548 NW Gainesville Road in Ocala, and a funeral home and crematorium facility is being considered at 7075 S. Pine Avenue in Ocala.
