Resolution approving award of Contract No. EVN0000341, American Sports Bar at MIA, to SSP America MIA, LLC, with projected revenue of $12,000,000 for a 10-year term for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. The concession will be located on the third floor of the Concourse E Satellite Building at MIA. The contract provides for finance, design, construction, management, operation, and maintenance of an American sports bar food and beverage concept. The vendor pays the County the greater of a percentage of gross revenues (18% for alcohol sales, 14% for all other sales) or the prevailing Class VI Terminal rental rate. Two proposals (Iberico Tapas & Vinos, Inc. and TDL International) were deemed non-compliant and non-responsive. SSP America MIA, LLC is a joint venture comprised of majority partner SSP America, Inc. and Jeffy Van, LLC; Aviation Strategies and Trade Solutions, Inc.; Nakagawa, LLC; GramJax Food Group LLC; SJAC ATL Airport, LLC; and P and P Hospitality, LLC. The Living Wage Ordinance applies. A 15% ACDBE Goal was zeroed out per a U.S. Department of Transportation Interim Final Rule effective October 3, 2025.
