Resolution R-537-26, File Number 260991, adopted by the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners on 6/16/2026, ratifies Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. S-16094 between Miami-Dade County and Magnum Construction Management, LLC for the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant (CDWWTP) New Materials Management Building and Storage Areas. The change order grants a 51-day non-compensable time extension, revising the Substantial Completion date from March 21, 2026 to May 11, 2026 and the Final Completion date from April 20, 2026 to June 10, 2026. The project includes a 3,525 square foot building with office space, warehousing, receiving areas, a second-floor storage area, and two outdoor storage canopies. The total contract award was $28,095,287.50 with a Contingency Allowance of $1,987,250.00. The project is located at WASD's CDWWTP in Commission District 7. The change order has no additional fiscal impact. The extension was due to a delay in obtaining the Class VI Permit, which caused a Stop Work Order from March 3, 2025 to April 18, 2025. The project will achieve LEED Silver Certification and will allow for demolition of the existing storage building to make room for a new Electrical Distribution Building No. 3.
