Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing a three-year extension for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-00867, which provides Emergency Push & Clear and Debris Removal Services for multiple county departments. This extension is time-only and does not request additional expenditure authority. The pool covers services such as pushing, clearing, and hauling vegetative debris, stump removal, and hazardous tree removal. The original pool was established in 2018 with an allocation of $330,000,000. The extension maintains this cumulative allocation, which will now expire on November 30, 2029. Contract awards under the pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, require Board ratification. Currently, there are 12 active prequalified vendors, with nine having local addresses. Due diligence was performed, and while some vendors had past or ongoing litigation, none adversely impacted the County's pool. The primary users are the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department and the Department of Transportation and Public Works.
