EMERGENCY PUSH AND CLEAR
Board of County Commissioners · 2026-06-02 · resolution
Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing a three-year extension for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-00867, which provides Emergency Push & Clear and Debris Removal Services for multiple county departments. This extension is time-only, with no additional expenditure authority requested. The pool's cumulative allocation remains $330,500,000 and will now expire on November 30, 2029. The services include pushing, clearing, and hauling vegetative debris, stump removal, and hazardous tree removal from various county locations during declared emergencies. The pool has four groups: Debris Push and Clear, Debris Hauling, Stump Removal and Disposal, and Hazardous Leaning Trees and Hazardous Hanging Limbs. Currently, there are 12 active prequalified vendors, with nine having local addresses. Contract awards under the pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, require Board ratification. Due diligence was performed on vendors, with noted ongoing or prior litigation for T.F.R. Enterprises, Inc. and Thomas Maintenance Services, Inc., and prior litigation for Weed-A-Way, Inc., none of which adversely impacted the County's pool. User Access Program, Small Business Enterprise measures, Local Preference, and Living Wage Ordinance are not applicable.
