The pool was originally established in 2018 with an allocation of $330,000,000 and currently has 12 active prequalified vendors, nine of which have local addresses. Contract awards under the pool exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, require ratification by the Board. Due diligence was performed on vendors, with two vendors noted as having ongoing litigation or prior litigation histories, but these did not adversely impact the pool.
