The presentation was made by Chairman Anthony Rodriguez to honor individuals including Miami-Dade County Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia, Ms. Jeannette Nuñez (President, Florida International University), Ms. Madeline Pumariega (President, Miami Dade College), and Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. Ms. Gloria Estefan was also recognized but not in attendance. Several honorees provided brief acceptance remarks.
