PALMETTO HOMES ADDITIONAL EXTENSION FOR 30 LOTS

The Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-560-26, authorizing amended and restated county deeds for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, and granting a three-year extension to construct, complete, and sell or rent affordable housing properties to very low-, low-, or moderate-income households under Miami-Dade County's Infill Housing Initiative Program and Section 125.379, Florida Statutes. The extension applies to properties conveyed under Resolution R-722-20 (the July properties) and Resolution R-928-20 (the October properties). The resolution also authorizes the County Mayor or designee to enforce provisions, exercise reversionary interests, and receive deeds back to the County if the developer fails to comply. Palmetto Homes returned 12 lots to the County and is returning three additional properties located at 550 NW 22nd Street, Miami, FL (Folio No. 01-3125-035-2901), 2185 NW 5th Place, Miami, FL (Folio No. 01-3125-035-1140), and 2173 NW 5th Place, Miami, FL (Folio No. 01-3125-035-1150). Palmetto Homes represented it will construct a Puerto Rican Community Center along with multifamily housing on properties conveyed by Mana to the County and anticipated to be conveyed to Palmetto Homes. The resolution directs signage on the properties identifying the County's name and the district commissioner's name.
