Miami-Dade County Ordinance File Number 260868 amends Sections 31-102 and 31-107 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida, revising vehicle age requirements for passenger motor carrier vehicles (PMCs). The ordinance allows PMCs providing circulator or fixed route services to operate up to 20 model years of age or 350,000 miles, whichever comes first, instead of the previous limits of 10 or 15 model years. This change was prompted by a resolution from the City of Coral Gables. The ordinance was adopted on first reading by the Board of County Commissioners on June 2, 2026, and amended by the Transportation Committee on July 14, 2026, with a favorable recommendation to the BCC. The effective date is ten days after enactment.
