RESOLUTION DECLARING SURPLUS EQUIPMENT

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-06-02 · resolution

Miami-Dade County adopted Resolution R-499-26 on June 2, 2026, declaring certain firefighting equipment surplus and authorizing its donation to the municipality of Utica, Cundinamarca, Colombia. The equipment, described as obsolete, includes 24 jackets, 24 pants, 24 hoods, 24 sets of gloves, 24 pairs of boots, 24 helmets, and 24 ear flaps, with an estimated total residual value of $4,620.50. The resolution waived standard surplus property disposition procedures by a two-thirds vote. The donee is responsible for all transfer costs and must take possession within 90 days of the resolution's effective date, or the donation becomes void. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to execute the donation agreement.
