Miami-Dade County Commission adopted Resolution R-491-26, approving the award of Contract No. EVN0013523 for a Rounds, Inmate, and Detainee Tracking Management Solution to CODEX Corp. for $7,000,000.00. This contract, for the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, includes an initial five-year term with one, five-year option to renew. The solution will be implemented countywide across all four correctional facilities and any future facilities, replacing paper logbooks with a tablet-based platform for real-time inmate tracking, safety checks, and movement management. Chief Moreno explained the integration of two systems, the tablet-based platform for inmate welfare and safety, and confirmed the new system's implementation at all current and future correctional facilities.
