This ordinance creates Section 33-39.5 of the Miami-Dade County Code, establishing procedures for the administrative acceptance and approval of covenants related to the Live Local Act for proposed developments within Transit-Oriented Developments (TOD) or designated areas. It allows for agreements between applicants and the county to differ from statutory requirements regarding height, density, floor area ratio, and parking. Covenants, once approved and recorded, can be modified administratively unless the modification requires Board of County Commissioners approval after a public hearing. The ordinance was amended and forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation by the Transportation Committee.
