This ordinance streamlines the process for developers to agree on development parameters such as height, density, floor area ratio, and parking, which may differ from standard regulations, provided at least 40 percent of residential units are affordable for 30 years. The ordinance was amended and forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation by the Transportation Committee on May 12, 2026, after a public hearing where no one appeared to speak.
