Resolution authorizing amended and restated county deeds to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc., permitting conveyance of three previously conveyed county properties to affiliate Javon Gardens LLC, and granting a two-year extension to July 29, 2028, to obtain final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. Adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on 7/21/2026. The properties are located in County Commission District 9. The original conveyance was authorized by Resolution R-440-19 on May 7, 2019, for five properties for single-family homes under the Infill Housing Program. A prior request to allow multi-family rental units on three of the five properties was granted by Resolution R-124-24 on February 6, 2024. The extension granted by R-124-24 expires on July 29, 2026. Building Better Communities requested the further extension due to uncontrollable delays including completion of surveys, and the transfer to Javon Gardens LLC due to inability to secure financing on its own. The resolution authorizes the County Mayor or designee to exercise the County's reversionary interest or accept a deed conveying properties back to the County if deed restrictions are not complied with. Signage identifying the County's name and the district commissioner's name must be placed on the properties.
