Resolution approving the First Amendment to a Land Exchange Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The County conveys 48,456 square feet of County-owned land (County Parcel, portion of Folio No. 01-3135-061-0010, located at 1851 NW 9th Avenue, Miami) to the College, in exchange for the College conveying 48,102 square feet of land (College Parcel, portion of Folio No. 01-3135-106-0010, located at 1000 NW 20th Street) to the County for use by the Public Health Trust. The amendment removes the closing condition requiring the Public Health Trust to obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM, modifies the environmental remediation provision, modifies the closing date definition, and adds a post-closing cooperation obligation. The original exchange was approved by Resolution No. R-1098-24 on December 3, 2024, and the Exchange Agreement was effective January 6, 2025. The Public Health Trust requires the College Parcel for parking to support its new Emergency Department at Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
