Ordinance to annex unincorporated Area J into the City of Florida City, with boundaries north by SW 328th Street (Southwest 7th Street), east by SW 192nd Avenue, south by SW 344th Street, west by SW 199th Avenue. Legal description: West 1/2 of Section 23, Township 57 South, Range 38 East, plus East 1/2 of Southeast 1/4 of Section 22, Township 57 South, Range 38 East, Miami-Dade County. Adopted on first reading on 7/21/2026, set for public hearing before the Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee on 9/10/2026 at 10:30 a.m. Conditions include County retention of utility tax revenues, residential garbage collection, jurisdiction over restrictive covenants and Areas and Facilities of Countywide Significance, and a one-time stormwater bond debt service payment of $1,709.71 by the City. Effective upon execution of an interlocal agreement and within 180 days of adoption.
