Miami-Dade County FY 2026 Action Plan funding recommendations approved after a public hearing. The plan allocates $12,657,029.00 in CDBG funds (including $1,645,410.00 in Commission District Funds), $4,722,449.45 in HOME funds, $1,096,830.00 in ESG funds, $1,278,185.36 in CDBG program income, and $1,671,077.57 in HOME program income. It also approves substantial amendments to recapture and reallocate $1,174,556.59 of CDBG funds, $694.09 of ESG funds, $2,211.55 of CDBG-CV funds, and $3,984.46 of ESG-CV funds. The resolution authorizes the County Mayor to submit the plan to HUD, administratively recapture funds from stalled activities, allocate $579,990.00 of CDBG funds later in the program year, and execute loan commitments and agreements. The Board of County Commissioners amended and passed the resolution 12-0 on 7/21/2026, assigning Resolution Number R-632-26. The Housing Committee forwarded it with a favorable recommendation on 6/9/2026. Public comment included Theo Karantsalis, a disability advocate, who spoke on disability access in housing funding, and Nakeatha Williams, who spoke about affordability pressures in Liberty City. A scrivener's error was corrected regarding the Allapattah community resource center facility improvement, changing the district from District 2 to District 3.
