The Board of County Commissioners of Miami-Dade County adopted Resolution R-667-26 (File Number 261174) on July 21, 2026, approving the issuance of multifamily housing revenue debt obligations by the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County in an amount not to exceed $32,680,000.00. The proceeds will be loaned to Colony Lakes Housing, L.P. to finance a portion of the costs of the acquisition and rehabilitation of a multifamily housing rental project known as Colony Lakes, located on an approximately 15 acre site at 1500 East Mowry Drive, Homestead, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The project will preserve or provide approximately 220 units of rental housing for persons or families of low, moderate or middle income. The Housing Finance Authority passed Resolution No. HFA 2026-10 on April 27, 2026, providing initial approval, and conducted a public hearing on June 17, 2026, which disclosed no reason why the debt should not be issued. The Series 2026 Bonds are expected to be issued by September of 2026. The debt is not a general obligation of the Authority, County, or State, and is payable solely from revenues provided by the borrower.
