The document is a resolution approving a standard form Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Miami-Dade County and requesting municipalities for hurricane debris removal, staging and reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. The MOU is countywide in scope. The requesting municipality will compensate the County for work executed. The resolution was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on 7/21/2026. The MOU is in effect only during hurricane season or until the municipality has met all financial obligations. The Department of Solid Waste Management has three pre-established competitively bid emergency contracts covering debris removal monitoring, emergency debris removal, and temporary debris staging, reduction, hauling and disposal. Background: After Hurricane Irma (September 10, 2017), North Bay Village, City of South Miami, and Town of Medley sought assistance; in February 2025, North Bay Village requested the same services for the future.
