Miami-Dade County adopted Resolution R-672-26 on July 21, 2026, declaring certain firefighting equipment surplus and authorizing its donation to Vinícola Del Norte S.A. in the Dominican Republic. The equipment, consisting of 35 coats, 35 pants, 35 hoods, 35 sets of gloves, 35 pairs of boots, 35 helmets, and 35 ear flaps, was found to be obsolete and unusable by any County department, municipality, or eligible community-based organization. The procedure for disposition of surplus property was waived by a two-thirds vote. The Donee must take possession within 90 days, or the resolution becomes void. The estimated value of the coats is $2275.00, pants $1706.25, hoods $175.00, gloves $875.00, boots $875.00, helmets $875.00, and ear flaps $175.00.
