Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving the terms and authorizing the execution of a Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund Trip and Equipment Grant Agreement with the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged (FCTD). The agreement is for an amount up to $8,000,000.00 in grant funding, with a 10 percent local matching fund of $888,889.00, for a total project cost not to exceed $8,888,889.00. The funds will be used by the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) to provide pre-loaded EASY Cards/Tickets for transportation disadvantaged recipients, including one trip, daily, weekly, monthly, or annual passes. The agreement is effective from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The program has been funded since 1990, and Miami-Dade County has received funding since its inception.
