Miami-Dade County Commissioners are considering a resolution to approve the issuance of revenue bonds, not to exceed $40,000,000.00, for the benefit of True North Classical Academy, Inc. These bonds will fund capital projects for the charter school, including acquisition, construction, expansion, remodeling, renovation, improvement, furnishing, and/or equipping of its educational facilities located at 6500 SW 97th Ave., Miami, FL 33173. The approval is required for federal tax purposes under Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Arizona Industrial Development Authority will issue the bonds, with proceeds loaned to Equitable Facilities Fund, Inc. or its affiliate, which will then loan the funds to True North Classical Academy, Inc. A public hearing was held as required. The resolution is currently in draft status.
