Ordinance re-creating Section 2-98.3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida, to regulate the operation of micromobility devices, electric bicycles, and motorized scooters on rights-of-way in incorporated and unincorporated areas. The ordinance applies to Crandon Boulevard between the northern limits of the Village of Key Biscayne to the northern entrance of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, upon the municipality entering into an interlocal agreement. It sets rules including a 20 mph speed limit, prohibition of sidewalk operation except for parking, and civil penalties of $250 for first offense and $500 for subsequent offenses. The ordinance sunsets 2 years from its effective date. Adopted on first reading on 6/16/2026 and adopted on final action on 7/21/2026. Public hearing scheduled before the Transportation Committee on 9/9/2026.
