MAINTENANCE MAP FOR SW 268TH ST AT INTERSECTIONS

Resolution authorizing a maintenance map for SW 268th Street at its intersections with SW 145th Avenue and SW 139th Avenue, Section 34, Township 56 South, Range 39 East, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The Board of County Commissioners is asked to accept the maintenance map for road purposes, which will be recorded in the Public Records of Miami-Dade County. The County is already maintaining this property, and there is no expenditure of County funds associated with this item. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) recommends approval. The resolution was forwarded to the Board with a favorable recommendation by the Transportation Committee on 7/14/2026, and is scheduled for the Board agenda on 9/1/2026 as item 8N2. The subject property is located within District 9, represented by Vice Chairman Kionne L. McGhee, who is the Prime Sponsor. The maintenance map is depicted in Attachment 1, and an affidavit from DTPW's Road and Bridges Maintenance Manager certifying the County's historic maintenance of the areas is Attachment 2. The areas contain a fully operational intersection with traffic lanes and other utilities, maintained for more than seven years. DTPW is constructing roadway improvements to SW 268 Street from US Highway No. 1/State Road No 5 to SW 139th Avenue, including milling and resurfacing; adjustment of valve boxes, manholes, ADA ramps, and connectors if needed; and pavement markings and signage.
