Resolution authorizing a maintenance map for SW 268th Street at its intersections with SW 145th Avenue Road and SW 139th Avenue, Section 34, Township 56 South, Range 39 East, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The maintenance map is for road purposes and will be recorded in the Public Records of Miami-Dade County. The County is already maintaining this property, and there is no expenditure of County funds associated with this item. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) recommends that the Board accepts the maintenance map. The Transportation Cmte forwarded it to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on 7/14/2026. The agenda date is 9/1/2026. The resolution authorizes the Chairperson and Clerk of the Board to certify the maintenance map and authorizes the County Mayor or designee to take all actions necessary to effectuate same. The roadway improvements are to SW 268 Street from US Highway No. 1/State Road No 5 to SW 139th Avenue. The areas depicted contain a fully operational intersection with traffic lanes and other utilities, which have been maintained for more than seven years. An affidavit from DTPW's Road and Bridges Maintenance Manager certifying the County's historic maintenance is attached. According to Section 95.361 of the Florida Statutes, recording a maintenance map depicting a vested road shall be prima facie evidence of ownership.
