PTP AMENDMENT FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO DTPW

Resolution approving an amendment to the FY 2026-30 Five-Year Implementation Plan of the People's Transportation Plan to retroactively include the purchase of fifteen 40-foot diesel and CNG buses for the I-95 Phase I and II project, funded in part by Charter County Transportation Surtax Funds. The buses previously served routes 195/295 and 196/296 between Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. The project cost is $3,896,702. The amendment is needed to authorize use of PTP capital funds to reimburse DTPW's operating fund after DTPW paid FDOT $3,896,702 on January 12, 2026, following FDOT's September 9, 2024 request for reimbursement. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on July 14, 2026, following a public hearing. The Board agenda date is September 1, 2026. The request was made to advance the item to the July 21, 2026 Board meeting.
