Resolution approving a Joint Participation Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the City of Sweetwater for funding up to $1,500,000 for the design of SW 112th Avenue widening and a new bridge crossing Tamiami/C-4 Canal to SW 8th Street. The project is located in Commission Districts 11 and 12. The anticipated design start date is December 1, 2026, with the agreement continuing through September 30, 2028. The status is Withdrawn. The agenda date was 10/6/2026. The funding source is Mobility Impact Fee Zone D funds. An SBE Services two percent subcontractor goal applies. The City of Sweetwater adopted Resolution No. 5236 on February 9, 2026, approving the JPA. The City will implement a Public Involvement Plan during design and construction. The project aims to decrease traffic congestion on SW 107th Avenue and maximize vehicular and pedestrian safety. The design cost estimate includes a 10% contingency. Any additional expenses will be the responsibility of the City of Sweetwater. Quarterly disbursement of County funds to the City shall be based upon the City's submission of invoices. The project will be assigned to Leandro Ona, P.E., Chief, Highway Division, Department of Transportation and Public Works.
