1. Capital Outlay, Capital Improvement Program (CIP), and Enterprise Funds

The City of Mount Dora is planning for its Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget, which includes significant capital outlays and improvements. Proposed projects include replacing the Community Building HVAC system, expanding security cameras, and facility roof replacements. Utility infrastructure upgrades are also planned, such as substation repairs, system maintenance, and the Advanced Metering Infrastructure project for the Electric Fund. The Water/Wastewater Fund has a proposed budget of approximately $18.8 million for operations and capital transfers. Additionally, the city is addressing flooding issues with a proposed retention pond project for Public Works and developing a master plan for Pine Avenue flooding. The Fourth Avenue Docks reconstruction project is in the conceptual and planning stage, with grant funding being sought. These projects are currently under review as part of the budget process, with final budget dates in September. This planning phase presents an early opportunity for contractors, suppliers, and service providers to engage with the city regarding site clearing, grading, utility work, HVAC installation, roofing, electrical systems, and general construction services before bids and permits are finalized.
