The City of Palatka is undertaking several infrastructure and development projects. These include replacing 12,640 feet of water lines, lining 3,168 feet of sewer main, and lining 42 manholes. Additionally, there are plans for new affordable housing construction, with 3 homes currently being built and 2 more planned. Other projects involve a Headworks upgrade, asset mapping, redevelopment plans, traffic analysis, water treatment pump and filter upgrades, lift station upgrades, emergency generators, playground equipment, survey maps, sidewalk replacement, and pedestrian pier repair. Planning is also underway for a Multimodal Transportation Hub. These projects are currently under review or in planning stages, representing early opportunities for contractors. The scope of work will likely involve site clearing, grading, underground utility work, pipe replacement and lining, concrete and masonry, structural work, mechanical and electrical systems, paving, and final landscaping.
