The City of Palatka is reviewing a proposal to install thirty-eight SmartCover SmartLevel remote sewer monitoring sensors throughout the city's sanitary sewer collection system. This project aims to provide real-time monitoring and alerts to help the Water & Sewer Department identify issues like blockages and potential overflows before they happen. The proposed work includes the purchase and installation of the sensors, along with software access, satellite connectivity, training, and two years of management services. This project is currently under review by the City Commission. The scope of work involves site access for sensor installation at various depths across the city, including locations along St. Johns Avenue, River Street, Laurel Street, Main Street, Bronson Street, and Eagle Street.
