The City of Palatka is reviewing options for segments of Crill Avenue, Palm Avenue, and St. Johns Avenue. These evaluations include potential roadway widening or a more focused approach to improve conditions. The city is considering a "road diet" for the six-lane segment of SR 19, reducing it to four lanes to allow for commercial property expansion, sidewalk improvements, and beautification. Other roads like Palm Ave. and St. Johns Ave. between Palm Ave. and SR 19 could be reduced to two lanes while keeping turning lanes.
