The Board of County Commissioners is reviewing proposed budgets for Fiscal Year 2027 for multiple Community Development Districts. These districts include Meadow Pointe II, Longleaf, Heritage Springs, The Preserve at South Branch, Epperson North, Epperson Ranch, Preserve at Wilderness Lake, Lake Bernadette, Oakstead, Chapel Crossings, Hilltop Point, Cobblestone, Highland Trails, Mirada II, Zephyr Lakes, Seven Oaks, Waters Edge, The Verandahs, and Long Lake Reserve. Additionally, there are requests for additional purchase authority for as-needed pond liner replacement, repairs, and inspections, and for as-needed water hydrant inspections and maintenance services. These items are currently under review, with recommendations to "Receive and File." The scope of work involves administrative review and approval of operating budgets and potential contract awards for maintenance and repair services. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers in areas such as utility maintenance, construction materials, and general contracting may find opportunities by engaging early before final bid and permit processes are settled.
