The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is reviewing its 2026 List of Project Priorities. This list includes numerous transportation projects planned for development. These projects involve widening roads, reconstructing intersections, adding multi-use paths, and improving pedestrian safety features. Specific projects include widening CR 54 from 2 to 6 lanes, reconfiguring the CR 52/21st St/Suwanee Way/Meridian Avenue intersection, and adding pedestrian overpasses on SR 54 and SR 52. Many projects are currently in the design or planning phases, with construction funding programmed for future fiscal years.
