The Pasco MPO is planning to undertake a series of transportation performance management initiatives over the next two years, from July 2026 to June 2028. These efforts will involve developing and analyzing land use and demographic data, collecting and analyzing various transportation system data including bicycle and pedestrian activity, real-time data, and crash data, and updating inventories of sidewalks and non-motorized facilities. The plan also includes preparing maps and reports on traffic counts and trends, performing traffic signal retiming studies, analyzing Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) strategies, and creating an emerging mobility plan to assess electric vehicles and golf cart usage. This work is currently under review as part of the UPWP FY27-FY28. The scope includes data collection, analysis, reporting, and planning studies. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers in areas such as data analysis, engineering, surveying, and technical consulting could find opportunities. Engaging early before final plans and permits are set may provide a competitive advantage.
