The Pasco MPO is undertaking an update to its county-wide Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) for the year 2055. This plan will guide transportation needs and investments across all travel modes for the next 25 years. The update process includes developing strategies for an integrated multimodal transportation system, focusing on pedestrian walkways and bicycle facilities, and addressing current and future transportation demand. Key activities include developing a Congestion Management Process report, maintaining related databases, and implementing cost-feasible projects. The project is currently in the planning and development phase, with activities scheduled from July 2026 through June 2028. This work will involve project management, data analysis, regional coordination, and potentially preliminary corridor studies to estimate costs and environmental impacts for proposed improvements. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers in areas like engineering, planning, data analysis, and potentially construction-related services for future projects identified in the plan may find opportunities. Early engagement is advised as the plan scope, strategies, and project needs are being defined.
