The Pasco MPO is undertaking a multi-year initiative focused on transportation performance management and systems planning. This effort, planned from July 2026 through June 2028, involves developing and analyzing land use and demographic data, collecting and analyzing various transportation system data including bicycle and pedestrian activity, and updating inventories of non-motorized transportation facilities. The project also includes preparing maps and reports on traffic counts, crashes, and trends, performing traffic signal retiming studies, and analyzing strategies to manage congestion and improve safety. Additionally, a new mobility plan will be created to estimate electric vehicle needs and golf cart usage. This work will set in motion activities such as data collection, analysis, mapping, reporting, and traffic studies. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers in areas like data analysis, engineering, surveying, and construction support services could find opportunities by engaging early before specific scopes of work and bidding processes are finalized.
