The Pasco MPO is developing its Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Fiscal Years 2027 and 2028. This program outlines transportation planning studies and potential projects for Pasco County. The UPWP includes administrative tasks, ongoing activities, and the development of the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The planning and development process for the UPWP is currently underway and is planned to continue through June 2028. This work will involve researching TIP software, preparing TIP maps, coordinating with various agencies like FDOT and Pasco County, and applying for federal and state grants. It also includes public notification and outreach efforts. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers can find opportunities in areas such as IT support for software platforms, contract support for third-party agreements, and procurement of goods and services. Early engagement is advised as this planning phase precedes detailed site plans, bids, and permits.
