This includes approval of an amended and restated initial assessment resolution and a proposed methodology for levying these assessments, based on recommendations from the Accenture Study dated May 2026. Staff recommends approval. Public hearing to consider the adoption of an ordinance levying and imposing a tourism development tax, subject to voter approval in a referendum election on November 3, 2026. The ordinance would adopt the Sumter County Tourism Development Tax Plan. The Tourist Development Council recommends approval.
