SECO Energy is requesting utility easements on City-owned property at the Golden Triangle Regional Park West Campus, also known as the Woodlea Sports Complex. The request involves two easements, each twenty feet wide. One easement will run approximately 750 feet long, west of the water treatment plant access road. The second easement will run approximately 630 feet long, on the east side of the road. These easements will allow SECO Energy to install and maintain underground electric lines and communication systems to support future park growth. City staff have reviewed the request and have no objections. The City Council has approved the first easement and is tabling the second easement for further review in coordination with the park's master plan. This project will involve site work for underground utility installation. Contractors specializing in underground utilities, site preparation, and electrical work may find opportunities as the second easement is further evaluated and planned.
