Taylor County is planning renovations for Hodges Park. The project, funded by a $200,000 grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and a Restore Act Pot 3 Grant, will include the construction of restrooms, picnic pavilions, a new parking area with permeable pavers, a playground with shade coverings, beach improvements, and a sand volleyball area. The project is currently under review, with an amendment to extend the grant agreement to November 1, 2026, and all close-out documents due by December 31, 2026. This renovation work will involve site preparation, grading, utility installation, paving, construction of new facilities, and landscaping.
