The council discussed the Islamorada Affordable Housing Fact Sheet, recommending expansion to include various household types and potentially aligning moderate-income levels with county standards (160% of median monthly household income). They also reviewed a workforce housing analysis for Upper Keys and Miami-Dade County, noting the Village's 2007 study is likely due for an update. Staff will explore partnering with Monroe County on their new study instead of commissioning a separate one. The Machado property will be discussed at the May 12 Village Council meeting. The Church property is listed for sale with interest but no offers, and a zoning change is in process. The Draft Comprehensive Plan is available online. The next meeting is scheduled for June 1, 2026.
