Conceptual design plans have been approved for a new Wildwood Police Department Substation and Public Works Annex. This project is proposed for the intersection of Central Parkway and Marsh Bend Trail. The Villages will donate the land for the facilities. The police substation will be partially funded by impact fees. The conceptual designs for the police substation were created by KP Studios, and the public works facility design was done by OLC. Both designs have completed The Villages' Architectural Review Committee process. This project is now planned and moving forward. The work will likely involve site preparation, utility connections, building construction for both facilities, and final landscaping.
