The City Council of Ocala met to discuss various upcoming projects and ongoing reviews. Several potential business opportunities were identified for local contractors and suppliers. These include a mixed-use development near SW 27th Avenue and SW 16th Street, a commercial development at SW 38th Avenue and SW 36th Street, and a mixed-use development on 10 acres near SW 27th Avenue and SW 38th Street. Additionally, the NW 44th Avenue Extension Project and NE Eighth Avenue Roadway Improvement project may offer work for civil engineers, surveyors, utility contractors, concrete and paving companies, and material suppliers. The city also approved a contract for rebuilding the Thomas residence at 1635 NW 24th Avenue.
