This action is a prerequisite for the County to sell the land to the University of Miami, which seeks to acquire it for future development and to unify its adjacent properties. The removal is recommended because the parcel is no longer needed as public right-of-way, especially as a separate road closing petition is underway for the adjacent segment of NW 9 Avenue.
