Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to authorize a designated purchase for the Transit Performance Analysis Software (Contract No. BW-10026), provided exclusively by Swiftly, Inc. The proposed action seeks to extend the contract term by five years, through August 31, 2031, and authorize an additional expenditure of $5,307,410.00, bringing the total modified contract value to $10,031,578.00. This extension is necessary to ensure continuity of critical transit operational and customer-facing services while the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) procures and implements a replacement Transit CAD/AVL system. Competition is deemed not practicable due to the proprietary nature of the software. A Request to Advertise for the replacement system is anticipated in late 2026.
