AVI Properties LLC is proposing to expand an existing granite and cabinet shop located at 1577 N. Florida Ave. The current business operates in 4,593 square feet and is planned to expand to 12,742 square feet. The expansion includes 625 square feet for office/retail/showroom and 12,117 square feet for warehousing granite slabs and cabinets, along with manufacturing these components for the local housing industry. The project is currently under review for a Conditional Use Permit for light manufacturing in a GNC District. The new site plan includes paved parking, a new stormwater management system, and a new onsite wastewater system, as central water and sewer are not available. This project would involve site clearing and grading, underground utility work for the new wastewater system, paving for parking areas, and the construction of the expanded manufacturing and showroom facility.
