The City of Cocoa Beach is planning significant upgrades to its water reclamation facility (WRF), wastewater collection system, and reclaimed water transmission and distribution system. These improvements are a response to damage from recent hurricanes and tropical storms, which have caused sewage overflows and system impacts. The plan includes repairs and upgrades to multiple lift stations, sewer crossovers, force mains, and the WRF itself, along with an inflow and infiltration abatement program. This project is currently under review as part of the Capital Finance Plan. Work is expected to involve site clearing, grading, underground utility work, concrete and masonry, mechanical systems, and final landscaping. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early to understand the scope and potential opportunities as plans develop before bids and permits are finalized.
